IFSS Dog Mushing World Championships (WCh) are hosted every other year at a different host country. To be eligible for WCh a competitor must have a USFSS Membership and DID Number to start.
On an IFSS World Championship year an application period will be held for all individuals interested in representing the USA at WCh. An application form will be posted/shared on the website, on social media, and via email to current members.
ICF is another organization that hosts a Dryland World Championship event every year with a focus on just 1-dog events. USFSS is a member of ICF and does team selections for their events as well. ICF team selections are done at the same time as IFSS team selections.
Dryland WCh Application Details:
- Applications will be accepted from May 1 through June 15.
- USFSS will announce the athlete selections no later than June 30.
Snow WCh Application Details:
- Applications will be accepted from August 1 through September 15.
- USFSS will announce the athlete selections no later than September 30.
